Up north, near the Atlantic Ocean, in-between rivers and hills, the Vinho Verde wine region is, in terms of geographic area, the biggest Demarcated Region in Portugal and one of the biggest in Europe.
The Porto and Douro wine region and river share the same name, and along the river banks the terraces hold endless vineyards, guarded by the most beautiful wine estates.
Right next to it, the Cistercian monk’s legacy is present throughout the wine region of Távora-Varosa, and its where we can savour our very own sparkling wine.
In the Trás-os-Montes wine region, the legacy of the Stone presses from the Roman era is the perfect combination with the indigenous grape varieties.

WINE AND SPARKLING WINE OF THE TÁVORA-VAROSA
A noble region with large areas of vineyards, it was the first region to be demarcated for sparkling wines in Portugal and it is here that some of the best Portuguese sparkling wines are created, along with the aromatic and fruity still wines, whites, rosés and reds.
The Távora-Varosa Wine and Sparkling Wine Route has a wide range of tempting activities that you must not miss, wandering among vineyards and chestnut trees and following the ancient paths of Monasteries and Monks.
DOURO AND PORTO WINE ROUTE
On this journey we take you to the oldest demarcated region in the world, the Douro River Valley, wandering among wine-growing towns and villages and UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
In its historical irreverence, Porto reveals a very important historic and contemporary architecture, by timeless masters, which pairs well with the wine aging, after from which it takes its name, and which ages in the famous cellars, which can be reached by crossing the river from Ribeira. An experience that enables you to discover and taste the variety of styles of this world-renowned wine.
VINHO VERDE WINE ROUTE
The impressive beauty of the Minho region, bathed by the Atlantic, and next to the only Portuguese National Park, serves as the backdrop for the Vinho Verde Wine Route. Traveling these paths is to discover the origins and flavours of the thousand-year-old wine culture and delve deeply into the History of Portugal.
Tradition and modernity in viticulture and in the production of Vinho Verde are combined to provide moments of pleasure in modern, centuries-old or family-run estates [quintas], where the hospitality of the people will not fail to seduce you.
WINE ROUTE OF THE TRÁS-OS-MONTES
The tradition of grape vine growing and wine making in the Trás-os-Montes Region is centuries-old, since time immemorial of the lagares [wine presses] carved into the rocks, used by the Romans to make this blessed nectar.
The Trás-os-Montes Wine Route highlights the perfect mosaic of the landscape with its history, people, traditions and customs, where wine, olive oil and the centuries-old gastronomic heritage are worth a long visit!
